Receipt sources include tax (e.g., revenue; state debt; occupation; liquor; cigarette) collections; local bond funds; fees received by various state agencies (e.g., Secretary of State; Auditor of Public Accounts; Railroad and Warehouse Commissioners; Racing Commissioners; Dept. of Agriculture; Supreme Court; examining boards); land sales (e.g., land sold for tax nonpayment; state lands such as saline; seminary; school; canal and swamp); state property rent; wastepaper sales; salary overpayment refunds; and federal grants to finance various projects.
